There should be physical privacy kill switches for the modem/wi-fi, microphone and camera and the GPS.

Hey @surao because we are running on linux, we can probably find a way to disable the device itself? I like the idea but i am not sure if it is worth the mechanical overhead in designing the buttons and stuff around it. But will keep this in mind.
Got a Snowden fan. I approve the idea, phisical switches are more reliable. But this doesn’t seems to me a privacy focused device.

Thanks, in the event it can be used as a mobile device, then these switches would be great, in line with what Librem 5 has.

A device doesn’t have to be privacy focused to still ensure privacy as an option this has become a common misconception in the modern day

@surao @danieldeluca @mayomonke happy to share that kill switches for Camera, Mic, WiFi are planned in the next iteration, they will just cut-off power so you can be rest assured
